About the event
As part of Hastings Book Fest Fringe, Neighbourhood Pottery invites you to a relaxed, hands-on creative session where you can drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm on Saturday 13 September to make your very own poetry plate. Make as many plates as you'd like - just £10 per plate!
Working with raw clay, you’ll shape your own plate in whatever size or form you choose, then decorate it with a favourite poem, line of prose, or your own original writing. Writer and maker Susie Warren will guide you through the process, showing you how to inscribe or imprint your chosen words using tools, coloured slips, and underglazes.
Your finished plate will be fired after the session and will be ready for collection a few weeks later - a unique, personalised piece to keep or give as a gift.
Suitable for all ages and experience levels! Under 16s must be…
