Service Description
In this 4 week course you will learn the fundamentals of both handbuilding and wheel throwing including pinch potting, coil building, slab building, wheel throwing, turning, and glazing. PRICING At Neighbourhood, we use a solidarity pricing system in order to promote equity and diversity and increase access to pottery as a craft. At checkout, you will have the choice of 3 prices for this course. Please choose either 'Low Income' for £100, 'Standard' for £115, or 'Pay it Forward' for £130 based on your personal circumstances. The 'Pay it Forward' price helps us subsidise the low income spaces. SCHEDULE Week 1: Handbuilding (pinch potting + coil building + slab building) Week 2: Wheel throwing Week 3: Turning Week 4: Glazing FINISHED WORK Students will be able to glaze and fire work throughout the course. 2 kilos of fired work is included in the price of the course and any work fired beyond this will be charged at a rate of £6 per kilo. Pieces will be ready for collection after their final firing a few weeks after the course ends. WHAT TO WEAR Clay and glaze both rinse out of clothes very easily, but wear something you don't mind getting a bit messy in. Also, please bring an apron if you have one. If not, we have spare ones you can use. NOTE: Participants must be 16 or over.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel this course online up to 2 weeks before the start date for a full refund. If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before the start date, you'll be entitled to a 50% refund. No refund can be given if within 7 days of the start date. Please contact us if you need to cancel within the 14 or 7 day window. In the case of extenuating circumstances, we may be able to defer your course.
