Nerikomi Charcuterie and Cheese Boards

Service Description

Join ceramicist Esme Fisher (@genuinebeige) for an introduction to nerikomi – a Japanese ceramic technique that uses different coloured clays to create beautiful patterns within the clay itself. Esme will guide you through layering, arranging and combining clays to create your own unique nerikomi patterns, before showing you how to use your patterned clay to slab build two one-of-a-kind ceramic cheese or charcuterie boards. Play around with pattern, shape and composition to create pieces that are completely your own – whether you keep things simple and graphic or go bold with colour and pattern. No previous pottery experience is needed, and you’ll be guided through the whole process. Two boards are included in the workshop price, including all materials and firing. If you’d like to make more, additional boards are £10 each. We’ll glaze and fire your finished boards after the workshop, ready for you to collect a couple of weeks later just in time for Christmas hosting. 🎄
