Service Description

Come along for an evening of pottery painting! Choose from an ever-changing selection of pre-made ceramic pieces, then decorate yours however you like. Keep it simple, get experimental, paint your cat on a mug - anything goes! No pottery or painting experience needed. HOW IT WORKS Our drop-in runs from 6–9pm, and you can stay for as little or as long as you like. Pop in for an hour or settle in for the whole evening. When you arrive, we’ll give you a quick introduction to underglazing and a few tips for getting the best out of the colours and making your designs pop. Each ceramic piece is individually priced from £5–£40, so you can paint as many or as few as you fancy. There’s also a £3 per person, per hour studio fee, which covers use of the space, paints and materials. You can book ahead online to guarantee yourself a spot, or just turn up and see if there’s a chair free. We can fit a maximum of 24 people at a time. Once you’re finished, leave your pieces with us and we’ll glaze and fire them, ready for you to collect once they’ve been through the kiln (about 2 weeks later). WHAT CAN I PAINT? Our selection depends on what we have in stock, but you might find: Bowls • Mugs • Dishes & soap dishes • Vases • Pen pots • Spoon rests • Plates • Figurines • Hanging decorations • Mushrooms • Animals • Pendants • Trinkets • Letters & numbers • Photo frames WHAT TO WEAR You’ll be painting with underglaze, a type of ceramic paint that washes out of clothes easily, so there’s no need to dress for mess. PLEASE NOTE Children are very welcome, but anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
